Is it Possible to Fill in Hip Dips?

Young sexy woman in the river, free spaces.

It's common to see women showing off their curvy hourglass figures on social media and in popular culture. This coveted shape is characterized by a bikini look with rounded, full hips and a narrow waist.

Although this shape is more prevalent in ideal portrayals, in reality, most women have an indentation between their love handles and outer thighs, commonly referred to as hip dips.

The hip dip is entirely normal despite what one sees on social media. Still, many women naturally want to fill in these indentations.

What Are Hip Dips?

Hip dips, also known as violin hips, might seem relatively rare, but they're more common than you'd think.

They are a naturally occurring part of your anatomy and bone structure that occasionally receives a negative reputation on social media.

The presence of hip dips is based on the shape of your pelvis. If you have a high and wide pelvis, then it's likely that you have hip dips.

Can You Fill in Hip Dips?

Yes, you can, but know there is nothing wrong with hip dips. A common misconception about them is that it has to do with issues regarding your health.

Hip dips are not a product of body fat in any form or fashion; it depends on where your body tends to hold fat and your genetic makeup.

If you have naturally wider hips and carry fat within that area, you will have rounder sides. If you don't, then it's likely that you have hip dips.

Does Exercise Get Rid of Hips Dips?

Exercise does not affect your hip dips. You can't change your bone structure with a workout. You will be able to achieve a curvier look, but if your hip dips are very pronounced, your sides will appear more toned.

That said, you might want to consider a cosmetic procedure that can help mask the appearance of your hip dips. These routes carry risks of side effects, but with modern advances in medicine and technology, such concerns have been reduced.

The AirSculpt® + Experience For Hip Dips

The AirSculpt® + hip dip fat transfer avoids fully invasive techniques but can still deliver results that will fill in your hip dips.

The AirSculpt® + Hip Flip™ reduces fat from one part of your body and uses it to fill out the indentations on your hips. The process doesn't use a scalpel, needle, stitches, or general anesthesia, elements commonly used in more invasive treatments. Patients can transfer customizable quantities of fat to achieve their desired result, whether a modest augmentation or a dramatic hourglass shape.
