Who Makes For a Good AirSculpt® + Candidate?

One of the main caveats of traditional liposuction is its limitations on candidacy. Generally speaking, you can't be too overweight when undergoing liposuction, given certain practices have BMI restrictions and that five liters of fat are the standard limit for extraction.

Furthermore, if you have lots of excess fat, more than five liters of fat removed may be needed to produce noticeable results, meaning an alternative procedure like bariatric surgery may be preferred.

Regardless of aesthetics, the outcome of liposuction treatment depends on good health practices after treatment.

Certain medical conditions increase surgical risks, which may prevent someone from undergoing the treatment. Anyone with a history of immunodeficiency problems, seizures, cardiac arrhythmia, severe bleeding, deep vein thrombosis (blood clotting in the legs), or pulmonary emboli (blood clots in the lungs) may be ineligible for liposuction.

Does AirSculpt® + Have Candidacy Limitations?

AirSculpt® + procedures have no weight limitations or other significant candidacy criteria. If the fat is pinchable, patients can it reduced via AirSculpt® +.

AirSculpt® +, like all liposuction procedures, should not be viewed as a weight-loss treatment. It provides the best results for those within a few percentage points of their ideal BMI. Patients should be in good health and need to be 18 or older.

Therefore, it's recommended to undergo an AirSculpt® + procedure if you have smaller and more localized fat-related issues to receive an optimal contour. Nonetheless, patients can seamlessly target large areas like the stomach and thighs for extensive fat reduction or add a fat transfer if desired.

Why Is AirSculpt® + An Optimal Choice For Fat Reduction?

AirSculpt® + is designed to provide lasting results while reducing the risks of fully invasive treatments that use general anesthesia.

AirSculpt® + does not use general anesthesia, allowing patients to remain awake when contouring their bodies. Surgeons can move their subjects as needed to ensure balanced, smooth, and even results.

AirSculpt® + procedures also do not use scalpels, stitches, or needles. First, the skin of the treatment area is numbed with a needleless jet injector tool. Then, instead of using a scalpel, a biopsy punch forms a perfectly symmetrical two-millimeter opening from where fat is to be reduced. This step also allows for the omitting of stitches because the entry point is naturally left to heal, leaving a freckled-sized mark at the end.

AirSculpt® + comes with roughly 48 hours of downtime, optimal for patients with busy schedules who prefer not to endure an exhausting recovery.
